You get access to all of our walks from June-October, news about upcoming mushroom events in our region, news about what’s fruiting, and access to our spring Introduction to Mycology class.

A mushroom walk begins with a walk through the woods or other habitat. We’ll collect specimens, and an expert walk leader will provide real time info about some specimens. Then, after an hour or two (depending on how good the mushrooming is!) we will meet back at a specified location to identify what we collected, chat, and eat lunch. This whole process usually takes between 2-4 hours.

We welcome children on our walks! All of our events are suitable for children as long as they are supervised by a responsible adult, but they are not specifically tailored to children unless specified. Our members range from infant to 80+ years old, and we purposefully choose our walk locations to be accessible for people of all abilities.

Whenever possible, we choose walks that are suitable for people with limited mobility. We try to avoid any large inclines, and we always go slow.

Due to Vermont’s rural nature, we unfortunately are not usually able to find sites with bathrooms, but walk leaders carry toilet paper in case of emergencies!
